I wonder why such meshing is not possible. Slic3r does not seem to merge the meshes of adjoining or overlapping solids, making the joints between each different STL mechanically weak that can be snapped by hand. Most users do prefer Cura which is the most popular slicing.

And if that doesnt do the trick, you can send an inquiry to email protected or through the button below. Cura & Slic3r are both great slicing software for 3D printing, both being free and open source. (The geometrical features are individual STL files of different geometries). Still have questions If you have a question about something that isnt covered here, check out our additional resources.

The issue I am facing here is in combining all the different geometrical features when slicing. To be able to print such parts more efficiently, I am planning to create a "library" of individual geometries, each with its unique set of optimum printing parameters. So far, I generate each part's optimum printing parameters manually. Slic3r is a well-rounded slicing software that may be geared towards more advanced users, but still manages to have an easy-to-learn user interface and simple. I frequently have to print a range of different parts each with different geometrical features. 3D Slicer is a free, open source software for visualization, processing, segmentation, registration, and analysis of medical, biomedical, and other 3D images and meshes and planning and navigating image-guided procedures.
